The GOLD BEACH section of the museum commemorates the historic landings carried out by 69 brigade of 50th (Northumbrian) Infantry Division on the morning of 6th June 1944. You will also find here displays commemorating the vital intelligence-gathering work prior to the invasion (6th June 1944 WAS NOT the first British landing on Gold Beach.......) and the aerodrome B-3, constructed in early June by British engineers between Ver and St-Croix.

NEW - a new pedagogic panel "Operation Neptune" supported by documents donated by Major Edwin Hunt MVO.

For 2015 - a "mosaic map", produced by the RAF & admiralty. See picure below.
