Gold Beach - 60 Years On

We've been to Epron!!!

We helped to arrange a small camp in Epron, just North of Caen and a focus of operation CHARNWOOD in early July 1944. Not an enormous event - just the members of the Falaise Infantry Re Enacted group and ourselves, all wearing 59th (Staffordshire) infantry division insignia - who liberated the town having flattened it in 1944.

Thanks to all who attended, Gerald from LTF and the folks of Epron for their help.
